I received a Diploma in Mathematics from University of Bologna (Italy) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (IDIAP Research Institute, Switzerland).

Since 2007 I am working at the Max-Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Bernhard Schölkopf's group.

My Ph.D. concerned the application of probabilistic models to the analysis and classification of EEG recordings.

My research interests are based around Probabilistic Modeling, Bayesian Methods, Approximate Inference Methods, Time-Series Analysis and Independent Component Analysis.
